"I wanted to take Asian fruits that are well known in the West but have never been given the true appreciation they deserve — the appreciation we're used to here in Vietnam. This is just fruit juice, and it sounds simple, but it's really hard to get done well."
— Thinh Nguyen, Founder & CEO

That's why the lineup started with flavors people already recognize — passionfruit, mandarin orange, pineapple, yuzu — done the way they should be: real, clean, and finally given the appreciation they deserve.

It Started in the Kitchen, Not the Boardroom.

Thinh Nguyen was four years old when he left Vietnam for America. He grew up the way a lot of immigrant kids do — one foot in each world, never fully choosing either. American classrooms during the day, Vietnamese traditions at the dinner table every night. That's where fruit-as-love-language actually started: it wasn't just something on the table, it was one of the few things that felt exactly the same in both worlds.

Dô Asian Cocktails didn't start in a boardroom, it started in Thinh’s family kitchen. Growing up in a Vietnamese household, fruit was never just a snack, it was a love language: calamansi squeezed into a dipping sauce, lychee peeled fresh at family gatherings. Fruit wasn't simple — it was a story, a celebration, a connection.

Years later, Thinh remembered picking up a popular "Asian-inspired" hard seltzer, expecting something real and reading the label to find no actual fruit, just "natural flavors." He saw the same problem everywhere: brands using Asian fruit names on the can, but never real ingredients. Asian flavor was just another trend, borrowed for clout by people who never grew up with the culture.

So he built the real, better for you alternative — a hard seltzer crafted by people who actually lived these flavors. 100% Asian American-Owned. Asian American-Led. From Day One. Not a trend borrowed. A culture, canned by the people who lived it.

MỘT, HAI, BA, DÔ!

Translation: "One, Two, Three, Cheers!"

In Vietnamese drinking culture, you never sip in isolation. Every round begins with a raised glass, eye contact, and a room full of collective energy. The word Dô (pronounced "Yo!") is the ultimate rhythmic rallying cry. We canned that electric, festival-level energy so you can bring the party and toast with your community anywhere. And for Dô, that community goes further than the table.

MORE THAN A DRINK. A PLATFORM.

Every can of Dô is doing double duty. Yes, it's real Asian fruit and premium vodka in your hand but it's also our answer to a gap Thinh saw firsthand: right now, there's real opportunity missing for emerging Asian creators, artists, and athletes to get their shot.

"One of the goals when I started this brand was to support local Asian artists, promoting an Asian DJ, Asian athletes, anything like that, because right now there's really not that opportunity for emerging Asian creators, for Asian brands. And Dô, being an alcohol product, gives you that energy, that opportunity to really go out of your way to support any type of creator or artist that I can."
— Thinh Nguyen, Founder & CEO

The dream is bigger than the can: mass retail, in everybody's hands, built alongside the Asian creators who don't always get the same seat at the table. Every bottle sold is one step closer.

What We’re building

5X DISTILLED VODKA

Engineered for ultra-smoothness so the natural fruit flavors take center stage.

100% REAL FRUIT FROM ASIA

Sourced directly from trusted regional growers. No concentrates, no artificial dyes.

ZERO SYNTHETIC EXTRACTS

Zero artificial sweeteners, zero preservatives, and zero weird aftertaste.

Real fruit. No concentrate. No shortcuts on sourcing just because it's more expensive or less convenient. Here's what "real fruit" actually means at Dô: the fruit is cold-pressed, not heated, not blended at high speed. Heat and fast blades destroy the vitamins, minerals, and live enzymes inside fresh fruit — so we skip them. Low-speed crushing means less exposure to air, which keeps the juice fresher for longer. What's left is 100% pure fruit juice — no added water, no artificial preservatives, nothing to hide behind. It's the hardest way to make a hard seltzer. It's also the only way we'd do it. Real Asian flavors, each one rooted in a specific culinary tradition, built to pair with real food, to celebrate traditions and occasions, and to cheers with friends and family. Most seltzers aim to be a blank, inoffensive canvas. Dô was built to taste like a specific place and time — 88% of our production budget going straight into the ingredients that actually matter and are most importantly, better for you.

THE SIP, THE PAUSE, THE WOW

The first time people tried Dô, the reaction was almost always the same: a sip, a pause, then the wow! Not because it was sweet, because it wasn't too sweet. No syrupy aftertaste, no artificial edge to adjust for. Just real fruit, balanced the way it's meant to be.

"It's not too sweet — it's the perfect balance."
— the most common thing people said, and exactly what we were going for.

Where We Are Now

Launched in Florida in 2025, Dô Asian Cocktails is taking its next big step, making its official West Coast debut at the Plate by Plate Los Angeles Gala on September 19, 2026. Hosted by Project by Project, this premier tasting event connects hundreds of culinary enthusiasts, creators, and industry leaders to celebrate AAPI food, culture, and philanthropy.

‍”Plate by Plate represents the perfect synergy for our West Coast debut, celebrating Asian culture, community, and culinary excellence," said Steve T. Tran, Co-Founder & CMO. "We're excited to introduce our signature lineup to VIP guests and industry partners before our broader California retail rollout."

As our West Coast soft launch, Plate by Plate serves as the primary launching pad to connect directly with hospitality partners, distributors, and the community that inspires our brand as we expand across California.
